The Horses

The gray mare is DOLLY LAMA and the bay mare is PHANNICEE. Lama is a 6 year old American Quarter Horse. Some young kids ride her at the local shows and around the ranch in lessons. The older kids work her on cattle, trail and some jumping.

Phannicee is an 8 year old Thoroughbred x Warmblood. She has dabbled in working cattle, a little trail and jumping.
JACKSON is a 25 year old American Quarter Horse grandson of Two Eyed Jack. This guy has done it all. He starts the beginning riders over fences, roping and trail. He even helps pony the youngsters.
He has lived with Sue all of his life. Born in Oklahoma, he was raised by Sue's dad until he was 3 years old. From there he moved out to California. As a younger boy he would compete in breeds shows, local shows, some eventing, Trail Trial and also helped with gathering cattle and branding.
HARLEY is 28 years old. He was born in the wild and captured in the mountains of Cody, WY. He has been used for everything. He is a true gentle giant and one of the most forgiving horses we've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
MR. WHISKERS is an 11 year old registered Quarter Horse born and raised here on the ranch. We call him our little juvenile delinquent. He is very mischievous, but kind, and is very happy to help you out. He is a very easy ride for starting riders to more advanced riders. He has done it all, from ranch work to parades to jumping. He is a really good sport.
MISS CANDY is on loan from our friend Dianne in Durham. Candy came to us this summer so we could give some of our hard working boys some time off. She is a 19 year old registered Quarter Pony. We call her the perfect pony and at 14 hands, and very smooth, she has done it all. Candy goes home after our show in September. Thank you Dianne!
