The SK Stables Story

Sue Kellogg grew up in a life with horses and has enjoyed them all her life.  Her family had a training/boarding/breeding ranch where she literally grew up in the arena.  Her father was a student of Ray Hunt horsemanship and German Dressage, as well as a host/participant in ropings.  She showed throughout her childhood in open shows, breed shows, Jr. Rodeo, roping, ranch roping, hunter/jumpers and a little eventing. She spent many years involved with the California State Horsemen's Association (CSHA) serving as ride manager for Region 2.  At the state level, she organized and conducted the Show of Champions for the Trail Trial program.

Sue has given lessons in horsemanship for 20+ years and is a member of the Certified Horseman’s Association.  She enjoys bringing horse and rider together in harmony where the ultimate goal is an educated, safe rider and a happy horse.

Sue is also a Certified Equine Massage Therapist. Her horsemanship students practice daily conditioning, grooming and hoof care to enable their horses to perform comfortably and to their highest potential. She is a student of Buck Brannaman and Sally Swift and reinforces their horsemanship skills.
